In this blog post I'm sharing a vlog that I did on the gift shop at the Petronas Twin Towers here in Kuala Lumpur. I filmed the vlog actually on the same day with my visit to the Petronas Twin Towers skybridge that I have already uploaded to YouTube earlier. I intentionally break up the vlog into two parts so that I have more material to upload to my channel. I'm however surprised that there were no suggested traffics coming from the other vlog.
Instead the majority of the traffics were coming from the channel pages and the browse feature as shown below:
Anyway here's the vlog entry if you guys would like to have a look..
Alright guys that's all for my blog post this time around. Don't forget to like, comment and to subscribe to my YouTube channel, where I'll be sharing what I've learnt on my YouTube journey and a bit about my life here in Kuala Lumpur.
In this blog post, I'm sharing a vlog that I did on my plans to increase the suggested views for my YouTube video. Basically I would be making a vlog or a video similar to the one that has already been made on YouTube. I would also look out for channels similar to mine and make videos about them.
Here's the vlog if you guys would like to have a look..

In this blog post I'm sharing a Youtube #shorts that I did on my visit to the Blue Lagoon beach in Port Dickson, some an hour drive southwest of Kuala Lumpur here.
To do a Youtube shorts, you need to take your video vertically and that your video should not be more than 60 seconds long. You also need to put the hashtags #shorts either in your title or the description of your video.
Anyway I was surprised that the #shorts video has received more than 5K views. This is my first video on YouTube that has reached such a number so naturally I was quite please with the outcome.
Anyway guys, here's the video if you guys would like to have a look..

In this blog post, I'm sharing a lapel mic that I use all the time so far to record and to do voice over together with my Samsung Note-10 mobile phone. I've used it for about half a year now and I am very satisfy with my purchase.
I mostly use it to record my sit in vlog in my bedroom and also to do voice over. But I'm sure it will do equally fine outside, though I have to admit that I haven't done any recording outside with it yet. I got it from a local store here but recently I found out that it is also available from Yichuang official store on Ali Express.
Anyway here's a vlog that I already did if you guys wanted to know what the sound would be like by using the microphone.

Following more than the usual traffics that I've gotten for my last #YouTube #shorts, I've decided to upload another #YouTubeshorts and the views so far are quite encouraging. After two days it has garnered about 170 views and that was good by the standard of my YouTube channel.
Anyway here's the shorts clip if you guys wanted to have a look..

In this blog post, I'm sharing my vlog's entry on how to monetise your blogger blog even before you were approved for Google Adsense. The short answer to that is you can join any affiliate marketing that would allow you to post links on your blog. I did join the Involve Asia affiliate marketing programme and you can also try to join as well through my referral link here.
The Involve Asia Affiliate Marketing programme is especially suitable for you if you are based in the South East Asian region namely Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore and the Phillipines. Through this affiliate marketing programme you could be the affiliate marketer for sites such as Lazada, Shopee, Ali Express, Ali Baba, Bli Bli and a whole lot more. You could also work with brands such as Tumi, Cotton On and Watson. If you are based in the United States or the United Kingdom your choices would be limited but you can still work with sites such as Ali Express and Ali Baba. You can also still be able to work with the programme if you are based in India.
You could also monetise your blog by using "Buy me a coffee" website. Click the picture above to go to "Buy me a coffee" website using my referral link.
You could apply to be accepted to their programme if you have "properties" such as a blog, a YouTube channel, a Facebook page or you could also apply through your Instagram and Twitter account. They didn't really list down the requirement for each properties but I got my YouTube account approved with about 700 subscribers and I got my blog approved with about 2500 views. So you could try to apply through my referral link here and once you are accepted you can generate your link to start promoting products that you like and once there is a purchase you would be entitled to a small commission for your work.

In this blog posting I'm going to share the traffic sources for my first YouTube shorts. Looked like I'm getting more than my usual traffic but not significantly more. But I might want to do further tests by uploading a few more short clips to YouTube before making a conclusion on whether a YouTube short could bring in more views.
Anyway here's the percentage of traffic sources.

In this blog post, I'm sharing a short entry to my YouTube channel to see whether I'll get more traffic than usual. The clip was just 12 second long and it was about gourmet pies that you can get from Dave's Deli here in Kuala Lumpur. So far I'm seeing more or less the same number of views to the clip compared to my normal entry on my channel.
Allegedly to qualify for a youtube short upload you need to post a vertical clip not more than 60 seconds and that you need to put the hashtags #short in your title or description.

In this blog post, I'm sharing my vlog's entry on how to get more views especially if you are a small YouTube channel. The short answer to that is that you need to optimise your videos or your vlogs for search by having searchable titles, having the appropriate tags and doing content that people are looking for. You also need to make sure that you put in the relevant keywords in your titles and tags.

In this blog post I'm sharing a vlog entry of mine on Pokok, a breakfast and brunch restaurant located at Mahsa Avenue at Jalan Universiti, here in Kuala Lumpur. Pokok means a tree and so you'll get to choose to either sit under the trees or inside a fully air conditioned glass house. If you choose the latter you could see the reflection of the sunlight on the floor from the water that they sprinkled on top of the roof.

In this blog posting I'm sharing my vlog entry on Sala KL, a vegan restaurant here in Kuala Lumpur. I'm not a vegan myself but I don't mind trying the food. I think if I put my will to it, I can be a vegan perhaps the longest for a week! Anyway I've had their tacos in that episode but I wouldn't mind to go again to try their other menus.

Alright guys, that's all for my blog posting this time around. Don't forget to like, comment and subscribe to my YouTube channel, where I'll be sharing about what I've learnt growing a YouTube channel and a bit about my life here in Kuala Lumpur.
In this blog posting, I'm sharing a vlog entry on my thoughts to grow faster on YouTube. When I started my channel especially for the first year I'm mostly making "my life" sort of content because I was influenced by the vlogs that I've watched before starting my own YouTube channel. I would get a certain numbers of views for that content but its a slow going to get more views after that, for the same entry. Then I did my research and found out the need for me to make searchable content and so I added the "my YouTube journey" element to my YouTube channel, sharing my experience growing my YouTube and what I've learnt because those are the sort of content that people would search for when they wanted to grow a YouTube channel. I know based on my experience that's what I did. I had searched for other YouTuber's content to learn from their experience.
For a while, that shift in my strategy did work, and I did get a lot more views but now I'm finding that "my life" sort of contents are doing better than "my YouTube journey" sort of content and they seemed to rise to the top in my most popular videos section.
So that led me to the question of whether I should; i) ditch "my YouTube journey" sort of content altogether or ii) not to ditch it completely but to reduce the numbers of videos I make for them or iii) just continue doing what I'm doing now. Of course I'm still undecided at the moment and I've been more or less going back and forth between number ii) and number iii)

In this blog post I'm sharing a vlog entry that I did on a canvas bag that I bought from Shopee. I was quite satisfy with the purchase because the bag had multiple compartments so it would be easier for me to organise my stuffs in it. If you are in Malaysia, you guys can purchase this bag through my affiliate link here.
The entry as a whole was doing poorly in term of getting views, probably because the lack of popular keywords in the title. So I might want to change the title later on.
