In this blog posting I'm going to share the traffic sources for my first YouTube shorts. Looked like I'm getting more than my usual traffic but not significantly more. But I might want to do further tests by uploading a few more short clips to YouTube before making a conclusion on whether a YouTube short could bring in more views.
Anyway here's the percentage of traffic sources.
Alright guys, that's all for my blog post this time around. Don't forget to like, comment and subscribe to my YouTube channel, where I'll be sharing my experience growing a YouTube channel and a bit about my life here in Kuala Lumpur.
In this blog post, I'm sharing a short entry to my YouTube channel to see whether I'll get more traffic than usual. The clip was just 12 second long and it was about gourmet pies that you can get from Dave's Deli here in Kuala Lumpur. So far I'm seeing more or less the same number of views to the clip compared to my normal entry on my channel.
Allegedly to qualify for a youtube short upload you need to post a vertical clip not more than 60 seconds and that you need to put the hashtags #short in your title or description.
Anyway here's the clip if you guys would like to have a look..

In this blog post, I'm sharing my vlog's entry on how to get more views especially if you are a small YouTube channel. The short answer to that is that you need to optimise your videos or your vlogs for search by having searchable titles, having the appropriate tags and doing content that people are looking for. You also need to make sure that you put in the relevant keywords in your titles and tags.
Alright guys here's the vlog's entry if you guys would like to have a look..

In this blog post I'm sharing a vlog entry of mine on Pokok, a breakfast and brunch restaurant located at Mahsa Avenue at Jalan Universiti, here in Kuala Lumpur. Pokok means a tree and so you'll get to choose to either sit under the trees or inside a fully air conditioned glass house. If you choose the latter you could see the reflection of the sunlight on the floor from the water that they sprinkled on top of the roof.
Anyway, here's the vlog entry if you guys would like to have a look..

In this blog posting I'm sharing my vlog entry on Sala KL, a vegan restaurant here in Kuala Lumpur. I'm not a vegan myself but I don't mind trying the food. I think if I put my will to it, I can be a vegan perhaps the longest for a week! Anyway I've had their tacos in that episode but I wouldn't mind to go again to try their other menus.

Alright guys, that's all for my blog posting this time around. Don't forget to like, comment and subscribe to my YouTube channel, where I'll be sharing about what I've learnt growing a YouTube channel and a bit about my life here in Kuala Lumpur.
In this blog posting, I'm sharing a vlog entry on my thoughts to grow faster on YouTube. When I started my channel especially for the first year I'm mostly making "my life" sort of content because I was influenced by the vlogs that I've watched before starting my own YouTube channel. I would get a certain numbers of views for that content but its a slow going to get more views after that, for the same entry. Then I did my research and found out the need for me to make searchable content and so I added the "my YouTube journey" element to my YouTube channel, sharing my experience growing my YouTube and what I've learnt because those are the sort of content that people would search for when they wanted to grow a YouTube channel. I know based on my experience that's what I did. I had searched for other YouTuber's content to learn from their experience.
For a while, that shift in my strategy did work, and I did get a lot more views but now I'm finding that "my life" sort of contents are doing better than "my YouTube journey" sort of content and they seemed to rise to the top in my most popular videos section.
So that led me to the question of whether I should; i) ditch "my YouTube journey" sort of content altogether or ii) not to ditch it completely but to reduce the numbers of videos I make for them or iii) just continue doing what I'm doing now. Of course I'm still undecided at the moment and I've been more or less going back and forth between number ii) and number iii)
Anyway here's the vlog if you guys would like to have a look..

In this blog post I'm sharing a vlog entry that I did on a canvas bag that I bought from Shopee. I was quite satisfy with the purchase because the bag had multiple compartments so it would be easier for me to organise my stuffs in it. If you are in Malaysia, you guys can purchase this bag through my affiliate link here.
The entry as a whole was doing poorly in term of getting views, probably because the lack of popular keywords in the title. So I might want to change the title later on.

In this blog post, I'm sharing a vlog entry that I did on food haul price check at NSK, Jalan Peel. I wasn't expecting the vlog entry to do well because its quite an ordinary entry, but it turns out that it did quite well in comparison to my other recent vlog entries. It also has an audience retention of 52.2%, which mean that half of those who view the entry on average stay until the middle of the video. So that's quite good.
Anyways heres the vlog entry if you guys would like to have a look.

Contrary to my expectation that vlog entry did not do as well as I expected it to be but with 42% of the watched time for the past 28 days coming from the YouTube search, I expect the video would do well over the long term.

In this blog post I'm sharing a vlog that I did on Michael Kors Graphic Logo Zip-Around Wallet. In the unboxing video of the wallet that I,ve done earlier, I was asked by a fellow youtuber on whether I can fit in the wallet in my pocket. It turned out that I was not able to do so unlike my existing wallet that I can fit in without any problem. To be clear this however did not mean that I regret getting the wallet because I had planned to get a man's bag to carry the wallet.
Anyway here's the vlog if you guys would like to have a look. You could also buy the wallet from my affiliate link in the description box of the YouTube video. I will soon also put the link here.

In this blog post I'm sharing a vlog that I did on my unboxing of my Asus laptop that I purchased recently. I am now writing my blog post from the laptop because if I write it from my phone, the layout will turn out all funny. So its a good thing that I bought the laptop.
However I'm still figuring out how to transfer all the footage from my Note 10 to this laptop so editing a YouTube video using this laptop will definitely would take a long while still before it can happen! Also I'm too comfortable editing videos using my Note 10!
Alright guys here's the vlog if you would like to see the unboxing (nothing special really)..
Having said that this vlog has had some 85 views and that's quite a good number by my channel standard and contrary to my expectation only 23% of the watched time were coming from YouTube search and the majority at 52% were coming from my channel pages and 10% from the browse feature. So I guess this is a topic that my subscribers were interested in knowing!

In this blog post, I'm sharing a vlog that I did on the unwrapping of the Michael Kors' graphic logo zip-around wallet that I got at 50% off. I am quite satisfied with the purchase and I think they still have the item on promotion, so you could purchase it through my affiliate link in the description box of my YouTube video(you will have to go to YouTube to see the link). I was not able to provide my affiliate link here because this blog is not yet approved for the affiliate link programme that I'm part of.

Currently it got some 93 views and some 83% of the watched time were coming from the YouTube search traffic. So I expect this vlog or video will continue to grow over time.

In this blog post, I'm sharing a vlog that I did on the promotion for snacks at Concorde Kuala Lumpur, Xroads Xpress cafe. I believe that the promotion had ended but at least you could get the feel of the cafe if you want to go and hang out there.
This particular vlog or video was poorly ranked among my recent videos on my channel but with a high amount of watched time coming from search at 80 percent, I expect the vlog to do well in the long term. The top YouTube search term that led to watch time for this vlog was "concorde hotel kuala lumpur". So guys its a safe bet to include the name of any place in your title for your YouTube video because people would normally search for those to get the infos about the place, especially if they have never been there.

In this post, I'm sharing a vlog that I did on steamed chicken at the Chicken Rice Shop at Aeon Bukit Tinggi, Klang, Kuala Lumpur.
The number of viewsthat I got for this vlog is quite decent and I don't expect it to do too well. Some 50% of the views were coming from YouTube search so I expect this vlog to do well over the long term.
Some of the top YouTube search terms for people to find this vlog were "the chicken rice shop", "#chickenrice" and "chicken rice shop". So those are the keywords that you want to incorporate if you made a similar video,

In this post I'm sharing a vlog that I did on starting a YouTube channel in 2020. The channel is going to be my second channel because I feel with the way the YouTube search engine optimisation(SEO) works, you need to sort of have a "niche" to help the algorithm to identify your audience. I feel like the first channel that I've started in 2018 is a bit of a variety channel and the YouTube algorithm is having a difficult time to find the audience to serve my content to.
Having said that, the workload of running a channel is quite high and even more so if you have two channels! So you might want to just stick to one channel and to tweak it until you got it right. Im personally finding it hard to find the time to update my second channel despite of doing this sort of for full time for now. The second channel will be mostly about documenting my journey growing that channel and I don't think I will have a problem to find the content for that channel. The only real problem is that my resources are now stretched out too thin what with having to run my main channel, updating my blog like I'm doing now and also updating my social medias such as IG and Twitter.
Anyway here's the vlog on my main channel:
And heres my first video on my second channel:
